Ghost stories of Key West

Hey everyone! I recently got back from key west, florida! It was so much fun. We got to key largo on saturday then drove down to key west on sunday. On monday we wen't to a bunch of museums and on a ghost tour! The ghost tour was fun but it creeped me out... I didn't get much sleep that night. There were tons of stories that we heard...they even told some of them at museums 'cause they truly are part of the history (scary history) of key west. One was about this Count who had a "dream" , in his dream his grandma told him he must marry a beautiful spanish ( latino? cuban? idk... u get the picture) woman. He met this girl (whose name i didn't pay attention to) and fell in love with her, but she was married and she was dieing of some disease... When the girl died the count went to her grave and dug her up. She had rotted a bit so the count remade her and put her in a wedding dress. Its really creepy and eventually he was arrested and written off as crazy. Now his lonely ghost haunts the area where he used to live. There was also a haunted voodoo doll named robert. He was really creepy. Robert the doll used to live in this house with this boy whose name was Robert and his middle name was Eugene. after meeting Robert the doll he went by his middle name but abreviated it to Gene. As he was growing up he blamed everything bad on Robert. He left the house when he got old enough. When his parents died he inherited the house and moved in with his wife. There in the attic he found Robert. He made him lots of furniture and put him in a different room in front of a window. There kids could see him move about. Eventually Gene got tired of Robert and his negetivity. He moved him back to the attic. When other people moved in to the house the doll remained and many of the people claimed to hear footsteps coming from the attiv but when they went up there all they saw was a creepy doll sitting in a rocking chair holding a stuffed lion. Now Robert aits in a museum. Very confertably... You can take a picture of him but you have to ask his permission. There are a ton of letters taped to the wall and on his case asking for his forgiveness because they took his picture without asking. One couple had a particularly bad experience. When they tried to take a picture the first time their camera batteries died. Then they got new batteries and took the picture. Then when they were trying to get home and their air plane was delayed, and delayed a second time, and then the third attempt to get home was cancelled. They asked for his forgiveness and were able to finally get home. That would have really sucked... I did not take a picture... It would have felt really stupid to talk to a display in a museum just to take its picture... But the lady i was staying with took one. so here he is...

he looks creepier when you can see his face. we didn't get a very good picture of him... but still you can see some of the letters in the background and in his case. Well i had a very ghostly experience.

When I grow up...

How many of you have put much interest into what you wan't to be when you grow up. Half of you probably are saying to yourself I have plenty of time but as the years go by you will still have no idea. I understand there are a couple of people I know that are my age that know they wan't to be a pediatrician or a surgeon. But then I also know people that think they are going to be on broadway and wan't to become a pro dancer when (no offense) they aren't that good. I used to think, well, I would like to be a dancer, but like the other people I was being unrealistic. I have a bad knee which two years ago I had surgery on. I still dance but sometimes my leg hurts or i have trouble pushing of that leg because it's not as strong as my other leg. I know I would never make it as a professional dancer . So I started thinking about what else I like to do. I am very creative so I thought maybe i could be a fashion or interior designer. That didn't last long and once the economy started getting worse i thought when i graduate this economy is going to be BAD. I need something that would pay better than an interior designer. Half the people nowadays either go for the cheep decorations or they do it themselves so i wouldn't have had that much business. Recently I have been trying to write a book. I haven't gotten very far but I think if i keep at it someday it might turn out pretty well. that's when i got the idea... I want to be an author. I have always admired authors and the way some authors writing just seems to flow. I read a LOT of books. The people at the library are probably either inpressed or pissed... I am always getting books from the library. One thing thats cool about my library is that you can request a book on their computer or even on your computer at home (if you know how to do it). Then they will send it to your house. I go on my computer and order a bunch of books. I have memorized my library card number... its pretty long too I'm impressed with myself. One time i left for a week and when I got back there were like five books waiting for me. It was like christmas for nerds!!!!! (as my friend "Jenny" says.) so for now my choice for What I want to be when I grow up is... Author. I just hope I go through with it.

Vacation

Guess what! I went on vacation to Daytona, Florida. We also took my friend "Jenny" with us. Before we left me and "Jenny" were in my room and found this little plastic dog. We decided he was going to be our travel buddy and we took him with us. We named him Tobi! We took pictures of him at soime of the places we went. Here is a picture of him at the beach!

Isn't he cute!?! We also went to St. Augustine! We climbed up 219 steps to the top of a really old ( rumored to be haunted) lighthouse! I got plenty of cool pictures of that!

Then when we were walking back to the gift shop (you have to walk through the forest a bit) we saw this sign that said "The Hammock". "Jenny", "Maddi", and I freaked out for some reason and had a sudden urge to go find this hammock. We were running around in the forest, with "Maddi"'s 80 or 90 year old grandpa ( i don't really remember how old he is but its somewhere around there) who had had a heart attack sorta recently in tow, looking for this stupid hammock but never found an actual hammock! We went into the gift shop and asked someone that worked there what the hammock was. It turns out that Hammock is also another word for a shady tree area...like where you would hang a hammock. HaHa! "Maddi"s grandpa was so mad! It was hilarious!

We also went to the Fort. It was kinda boring , kinda cool. That is apparently haunted also. We totally freaked out when we went into the room where they kept the prisoners. One of my friends wouldn't even go in there! We also saw the barracks. They were bunk beds with two people in the top and two people in the bottom. You know what else!!!???!!! There matresses were just pillow cases with hay in them! And not even alot of hay! Just a tiny bit of really uncomfertable hay! That sounds horrible! My friend tried sitting on it and said that the hay did nothing. It just felt like sitting on wood. there were cannons everywhere! I got some cool pictures of those!

There is so much to do in St.Augustine! we also went to the Fountain of youth! That was fun! We got to have some of the water too! It tasted NASTY! G-R-O-S-S! It didn't even work! I found out later that the water was just sulfer water. The fountain of youth is a total fake. The water does come out of the actual fountain but it is not a youthful fountain. I have a picture of the fountain but they put so much fake stuff around it you can barely see it and it looks soooooo tiny!

They also had alot of animals there! There was an Emu, Peacocks (even an albino peacock!), squirells... I don't think the squirells were supposed to be there... But they were! I got to feed all of the animals!!!!! Even the squirells! Did you know Emu's liked peanuts? I fed a peacock too! and a squirell... look i got pictures!!!!!

The hotel we were at had alot of activities we could do. While we were there we entered a family sand sculpture contest. My family ( and "Jenny") made a dolphin! In the sand! I couldn't belive how well it turned out! Thats our doplhin!

It's pretty good for ameteurs. Well, we had alot of fun in Daytona (and St.Augustine). Hope ya'll have a good vacation this summer too!

Altador Cup IV

On Neopets every summer there is this thing called the Altador Cup its really fun but everyone gets really competitive. I am definitely one of those people. I am on the Krawk Island team! this will be my third year of playing but only second year on KI.

Im sad!

Im starting to think no one reads my blog. Even though I have five followers. I never get any comments unless that person was there, or they gave me the idea. Ouch!

My legs hurt.

Today I walked 5k for the National Allegiance on Mental Illnesses Walk 2009! It was fun but we just walked around in circles for an hour or so. I also sat at a booth eating lollipops! yummmm!

I did that to get communtiy service hours for njhs( National Junior Honnor Society). I still need three hours though. I have to get three more hours before may 21! THis oughta be fun...

After the walk guess what I did! I went shopping! I bought a green bikini with polka dots, and a grey hoodie, and I bought Twilight!

I have already read the whole twilight series. But i like re reading them. My mom has started reading them and she borrowed them from my friend. She had lost new moon so she bought my friend a new copy then found the book later. So now i have new moon and Breaking dawn. I went to the release party for breaking dawn. THAT WAS AWESOME! So i only had Breaking dawn, and New Moon.. Now i have twilight. I really want Eclipse. Eclipse and Breaking Dawen are the best books in the series. I WANT IT SOOOOOOOOO BAD! :) lol.

Its easter!

Hi, My name is 'Christy". Do you belive in Easter?

I went to mass today. At church they told a story about this woman who always imtroduced hersle y saying... Hello. My name is (i don't remember her real name but i know it started with an E so...lets say it was Emma) Emma. Do you believe in Easter? Lots of people would say yes and when she asked them what easter was all about most would say egg hunts and dressing up. So she always told them the story of how Jesus died for our sins and how on Easter he came back. She saved many people. Then she was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor was really sad to have to tell her. when he told her she just smilled and said why are you so sad!?! You are telling me that I am close to seeing my Lord and my husband and my friend, yet here you are reluctant to give me my ticket! She stayed at the hospital and saved many people who worked there when they went to give her medicine or something. Except one (who's name also escapes me. So her name will be Cindy) who thought she was a religious nutter! She refused to see her. One day the nurses who usually took care of Emma were out sick so Cindy had to go in and give her a shot. When she went in Emma had said God loves you and so do I. I am praying for you. i have asked God not to let me die until you have found your way to him. Then Cindy said Then you will never die because that will never happen. She walked curtyly from the room and did not go back in. Until one day when she had a wierd urge to go talk to Emma. When she walked in Emma said God loves you and so do I. Have you come to embrace my Lord? Cindy sat next to Emma and cried and said I am ready. i want to with all my heart. A couple days later she went back to visit Emma. When she walked in Emma said do you know what day it is? Cindy said it is good Friday. Emma merely smiled and said no, to you everyday is Easter. That sunday Cindy went to the store and bought Emma some easter lillys. She went to give them to Emma. When she opened the door she saw Emma laying on the bed dead and her hands on her Bible. Her left hand was on one Bible verse and her right hand was on another . they were both very touching and about how God will comfort everyone and how everyone has a place in heaven. Cindy wlaked out of the room and went up to two student nurses that were studying and said Hello, My name is Cindy. Do you believe in Easter?

Yesterday I went to Univesal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It was sooooooo fun! I went with a tons of my friends. "Jenny", "Mellisa", "Pamella", "Sylvia", "Chrystal", and "Bell" were all there with me. We are officialy insane... We were on a ride and the people that work there are all scary so we were like "Heyyyyyy" and then we started giggling like the hottest guy in the world had just said that we looked cute. He started to walk away and We acted like we were all mad. I was like oh no you didn't . and did thw whole snap in a z formation. Im reallly good at that! My friends say I would make a good black girl but im too white for it. I would make a good Erin from The House of night series! oooooooo! you gotta read those books! they are awesome! Im telling you1 Once you read them you will get what Im talking about when i say i would make a good Erin. You will also understand this: OMG!THAT STARK SOUNDSD HOT HOT HOT!

SPRING BREAK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE SPRING BREAK!!!!! Spring break is a time just to lay back and relax. I like sleeping...alot. I never get any sleep during the week.

Today Im at my friend "Celsey" 's house. I slept over last night. WE watched Click. It WAS SAD! I thought it was going to be totaly funny but it was like all sad... :( Just like Marley and ME! They only showed the funny parts in the preview but it ended up being really sad!I cried!

I also just discovered that a smoothie made of strawberry yogurt, apple juice, ice, and pinnaple tastes REALLY good! "Celsey" and I made them today. LOL! YOU SHOULD TRY IT!

Personality Crisis Major!

Why do people change? It's just no fun when someone you know and love changes their personality completely. (All details have been changed for fear of person finding out...)"Jeff" recently changed... He used to be really nice and easy to be around now he is almost goth and creeps me out a bit. I miss the old "Jeff". :( Why do people change?

What the Heck!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!WHY CAN I NEVER FIND ANYTHING! I lost the cord to my Ipod...now I can't get new music. :(

I even cleaned off my desk to look for it. And trust me that never happens. My room is still a mess though...oh wells! I can never find anything when I want to. I usually find the item about a week later when i have given up all hope for it's survival. So I set it down and go to find something else then....I CAN'T FIND THAT NOW! I know i had had it a week earlier and set it right there!but no....THIS SUCKS!

Complications

Hi,This is my first blog so I'd like to imform you that ALL names written in this blog have been changed(that includes mine) so none of my friends can get mad at me if i write something they don't like in here...my codename is christy.

Middle School is complicated enough with all the homework, FCAT, and all the other expected drawbacks. But just when you think your safe something unexpected and dramatic comes along and turns your whole world upside down. It's crazy! One example of this would be the recent drama involving a lot of my friends.

"John" recently asked "Payton" out...they seemed to like eachother but it didn't last long. Three days later "John" asked out her(and my) best friend "Jenny"."Jenny" being "Jenny" said no. Shortly after that "John" went and asked out yet another one of my friends, "Mellisa". Then he broke up with her...the next day he got back together with her...that same day she broke up with him. Once again shortly after that "John" asked out "Julie" she was hesitant at first but ventually said yes. The next day he broke up with her. What does "John" sound like to you (a John tucker perhaps,or just plain player )

Thats not all either..."Sam" likes "Mellisa". "Mellisa" still likes "John" but now "John" likes his ex "Loreign" agian. "Loreign" likes "Bob"(to my knowledge) but "Bob" likes "Marry Jane"(last time I checked, the guys around here get over things pretty fast so you can never be entirely sure). That as far down that line as I know but I'm sure its much longer and branches out in odd places. An example of that is that "George" also likes "Mellisa"(but no one likes "George").

Life as a middle schooler just got a lot more complicated...
